These regions have tremendous mission sending potential to help bring the gospel to unreached peoples, but they currently send only 20% of the world’s cross-cultural missionaries!

&ldquo;Hey (potential partner), I am excited about my new role with XYZ ministry! I&rsquo;d love to get together with you to share about how God is using this ministry to change lives. Could we maybe grab coffee next Thursday morning?&rdquo;
You hit send and wait for their reply.
Crickets.
Before you blame the phrasing of your text or think, &ldquo;but you don&rsquo;t know MY friends&hellip;&rdquo; I want you to refocus on the purpose. You need to get a hold of people and get an answer from them in the most efficient way possible and with the highest chance of success. I&rsquo;m not talking about the 1-5 exceptions on your list who will say yes to anything even if you sent it via carrier pigeon. I&rsquo;m talking about the majority of your list.
You have limited time.
You can&rsquo;t afford to have people jump to the wrong conclusion or misinterpret what you are saying. You will rarely ever get a second chance to invite someone to an appointment.&nbsp;
Are you willing to risk texting just because it feels easier?&nbsp;
In this day and age, people rarely call out of the blue. It&rsquo;s so abnormal that when you see a friend&rsquo;s name on the caller ID, you are 98% positive that someone must have died or their apartment is on fire. Because of this reality, texting does play a very important role. However, data shows that even for Generation Z and Generation Alpha &mdash; phone calls still have a higher rate of appointments.&nbsp;
First - always send a pre-call text.&nbsp;
This is a simple, &ldquo;Hey Ericka, I wanted to give you a quick call to share with you some exciting news about my ministry. Would you have 5-10 minutes this afternoon?&rdquo;
And then, whether they respond or not, you call them. If they don&rsquo;t answer, leave a short voicemail and a follow-up text about being sorry to miss them and how you&rsquo;ll reach out again 2 days from now.&nbsp;
Yes. Follow up with people every 48 hours. Remember the part where you have limited time? Exactly.&nbsp;
Second - expect it to take a few tries.
Even with a pre-call text, people are BUSY. Don&rsquo;t jump to conclusions that they are avoiding you or are offended. Give them a little grace! Expect to go through the cycle of text&mdash;call about 3x per person. If you are waiting LONGER than 48 hours, expect to have to do it 4-6x per person.&nbsp;
Yes, you can freak out.&nbsp;
I&rsquo;ve been raising support for 10 years now, and I still feel like gagging every time I make phone calls. But it doesn&rsquo;t matter what makes me feel comfortable. Heck&ndash;sharing the Gospel also makes me nervous! But I don&rsquo;t want to spend my time reaching out to people in ineffective ways. THIS IS TOO IMPORTANT. What God is doing is too important to take the easy way out instead of persevering through the most effective way.&nbsp;
You can still be unsure. You can still have doubts. But would you be willing to try and see if it can be effective for you? Take the next 7 days and follow this plan to a &ldquo;T.&rdquo; Use the Sandwich and Drink Strategy (pictured below), and use your <a href="https://www.vianations.org/generosity/trainings/via/bootcamp" rel="follow">bootcamp</a> texting script as a guide.
Text, call, voicemail, repeat&ndash;every 48 hours. Look at the numbers&mdash;did you get a hold of more people?&nbsp;
